MS. DAHYANA
Morning and Afternoon Head Montessori Teacher
Hello! I was born and raised in México. I was educated at Universidad Veracruzana and gained my Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I had the opportunity to live in Santiago Chile for a couple of years before immigration and settling in Canada 8 years ago with my husband and our three children. I love to spend my free time with my family and dog watching movies and paddleboarding. I worked as a support teacher for two years at St. Andrews preschool, which flourished my passion for working with kids. From this experience, I decided to study to become a Montessori AMI teacher and help children follow their inner path in a fun, respectful and caring environment. I'm excited to be a part of the Treetops Family and contribute to the growth of your children.
MS. ANGELIQUE
French Teacher
I was born and raised in a ski resort in the French Alps. I moved to Canada 5 years ago. I’ve worked as an educator for 17 years, mostly with toddlers and preschool age children.
I like teaching children through having fun and learning from them by listening to their stories. They are all different and it’s so fun to work with them! I like to laugh with children as it allows me to keep my child soul!
I’ve traveled a lot and I chose to stay in Canada, specifically in BC because it was my childhood dream. During my free time I take care of my son who is a Treetops student. I like skiing, cooking, travelling, swimming and diving.
I am happy to be a part of this team, to take care of your children and teach them French!
MS. LAUREN
Director
I am the daughter in-law of the founder of Treetops, Ms. Justine. I am a mother two young children, one of which is a recent graduate of Treetops and the other just joined Treetops this fall!
I am managing the Treetops operations and am the main contact for all communications. I have a Bachelor of Technology and majored in Graphic Communications Management at Ryerson University. I have been working in the sales and marketing field for the past 13 years.
It gives me much joy to run Treetops and see my daughter and son attend the school that their grandmother started almost 30 years ago!
MR. DAVID
CFO (Chief Fun Officer)
Hi! I'm David, the son of Treetops' founder, Ms. Justine, husband of Treetops director Lauren and dad to one graduate and one current Treetops student. I grew up around the Treetops classroom and am a child of Montessori education. I have years of teaching experience in China and Vancouver and when I'm not working in the polar regions as a photographer, I'm at the school assisting the teachers and chatting with the parents at pick-up and drop off.
MS. JUSTINE
Founder
I was born in Manchester, England. I was educated at St. John’s College and later studied as a fever nurse at Monsall Hospital, Manchester. After emigrating to Canada, I studied at Ryerson University.
After my children attended a Montessori Preschool in Vancouver, I decided to take the Montessori training and eventually received my Early Childhood Educator qualifications.
I opened Treetops Montessori Preschool in 1993 and have been passionately running and acting as head teacher at the school until my retirement in June 2019.
I now act as a mentor and provide support to our Treetops team.
